The Hum
You were walking to the car. You put your foot down wrong: not on the ground, but just beside it.
Now there is damp carpet, and a hum, and a camcorder in your hand that is still recording. The label is in someone else's handwriting: PROPERTY OF THE MARGIN SURVEY.
The Hum is a first-person horror game set in the Backrooms: the unused margins of reality, rooms the world sketched and never finished. Find what each level hides, open the exit, and keep moving. Something walks these halls with you. It does not see well. It listens.
FEATURES
- 9 hand-built levels, each with its own twist: a basement with no power, flooded tunnels, a museum where the portraits change when you look away, a motel with two hunters
- A fully voiced story told through 18 cassette tapes and a real ending
- The hum: your only warning. When it goes quiet, you are not alone
- Endless floors: a random challenge mode that gets harder every floor
- 1996 camcorder look: grain, glitches, a blinking REC light
- About 45 to 60 minutes for the story
- Hidden codes. Look closely at the notes on the walls

Mouse to look, WASD to move, Shift to run, C to crouch, F for flashlight, Q to ping.
